Our Allied Health Assistant (AHA) sessions provide additional support for children and families who may benefit from more frequent therapy or are waiting to see a Speech Pathologist.
These sessions may be suitable for children who:
Would benefit from an extra therapy session each week to accelerate progress.
Are currently on our waitlist for Speech Pathology services and would like to begin receiving support as soon as possible.
Have already completed Speech Pathology intervention and would benefit from ongoing practice to maintain and build their skills.
Our Allied Health Assistant works under the supervision and guidance of our qualified Speech Pathologists. Each child's therapy program is individually planned by a Speech Pathologist, with goals, activities, and strategies tailored to their specific needs. The Allied Health Assistant then delivers these sessions while receiving regular supervision, ensuring therapy remains consistent, evidence-based, and aligned with each child's goals.
This collaborative approach allows children to receive high-quality, structured support while improving access to therapy and providing additional opportunities to practise and develop their communication skills.
